As a lifeguard, you must possess the following skills:
• Comfort in and around open water with basic safety knowledge
• Comfort in deep water and basic watercraft usage (surfboard, paddleboard, kayak)
• Ability to pass lifeguard prerequisite exam (550-meter open water swim, 2-minute tread water without hands, etc.)
• Preferred experience working with or teaching children
• Red Cross Certification or WSI certification preferred, but not required
• Must be 18 years or older
